About the Book

How This Book Will Help You

Most sleep advice starts at bedtime. This book starts earlier, with what's actually happening inside your body when you consistently shortchange your sleep, and why so many people are living with the effects without connecting them back to the source.

How Not to Up and Die from Sleep Deprivation is practical and science-grounded, written so you can use it. No jargon. No guilt. No routines that require a completely different life. Just honest explanations and steps that work in the one you already have.

Inside, you’ll learn:
  • Why the hours of sleep you skip don't disappear, and what they're doing to your body years down the road
  • How poor sleep is quietly driving fatigue, brain fog, mood swings, and weight issues that nothing else seems to fix
  • What your doctor may not be connecting back to your sleep, and why that gap matters
  • A framework for building sleep habits that hold. Not for a week. For good
  • How to feel genuinely rested without rebuilding your entire schedule from scratch

Why Most People Never Connect Their Symptoms to Sleep

Many people blame aging, stress, or a busy schedule for how they feel each day. What they often don't realize is that poor rest may be contributing to the very problems they're trying to solve.

This book helps uncover those connections and provides a practical path toward healthier habits and better well-being.

About the Author

For 30 Years, I Watched Chronic Disease Develop Before Patients Had Symptoms

For 30 years as a radiologist and interventional physician, I saw what most patients never see: what chronic disease looks like as it forms. Sleep deprivation was a thread running through more cases than I could count.

That's what pushed me toward prevention. Not managing what goes wrong after the fact, but helping people understand how to stop the damage before it starts.

Since then, I've trained as a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach through Duke, earned advanced certification in Obesity Medicine, and developed the CLARITY Bridge framework to help people turn knowledge into lasting action.
